Dress Code

Lakewood Yacht Club strives to provide a casual family environment while still creating an atmosphere of respect, courtesy, and decorum.

The LYC Dress Code is as follows:

Required Dress for Sunday Brunch and in the Dining Room during Lunch (Wednesday – Friday) and Dinner after 5:30 PM (all evenings)

MEN

  • Dress or Sports Shirts
  • Slacks
  • Dress Shorts or Jeans are acceptable if neat and in good condition
  • No t-shirts
  • No hats

WOMEN

  • Appropriate, nonrevealing skirts, slacks, blouses and dresses
  • Dress Shorts or Jeans are acceptable if neat and in good condition
  • No t-shirts or bare midriff tops
  • No visors or ball caps

More casual attire may be worn in the Bar/Lounge at any time and on weekends in the Dining Room before 5:30 PM

The following apparel is unacceptable and not allowed anywhere in the Clubhouse:

  • Wet swimsuit
  • Swimsuit without proper cover up
  • Bare feet/No footwear
  • Men: shirtless or sleeveless shirts/tanks

Members are responsible for informing all family members and guests of dress code requirements and for ensuring all family members and guests are attired properly.

Special exceptions may be granted by the Club Manager, Commodore, or Board of Directors in the case of theme parties or special occasions.
